Watch How GTA 6 Compares To The Original Vice City And Real-World Florida

Now that the first official footage from the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been released, GameSpot has compared the 2023 take on Vice City to 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in a new video. Graphical improvements aside, GTA 6 looks to be staying close to the feel of the original. In the video, GameSpot compares some of the locations shown in the brand-new trailer to their equivalents in the old Vice City, from beaches to streetscapes, and the Vice City skyline. There’s even a nightclub scene that’s reminiscent of Vice City’s iconic Malibu Club, and the Ocean View Hotel can be glimpsed in the background of one shot. While the 2002 graphics can’t quite compare to the modern game, Rockstar seems to have captured the feeling of the original game. Check out our side-by-side comparison below.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Updated Google Drive for desktop app offers a recovery tool for missing files

It was reported in late November that Google Drive for desktop (v84.0.0.0- had a sync issue, which caused months or even years of files to disappear. If you were unfortunate enough to be part of this “small subset” of users, there’s finally some good news. In the latest version of Drive for desktop app (version or higher), you’ll be able to access a file recovery tool via a few steps: go to the menu bar or system tray, click the Drive for desktop icon, press and hold the “Shift” key and click “Settings,” and then you’ll be able to hit “Recover from backups.”
From there, you should see a notification saying “Recovery has started,” and hopefully you’ll get a “Recovery is complete” message after a while. You’ll then find a new folder named “Google Drive Recovery” containing the unsynced files on your desktop.
Good luck, though, as Google doesn’t expect this method to work for everyone. “If you’ve tried to run the recovery tool and are experiencing issues, submit feedback through the Drive for desktop app with the hashtag ‘#DFD84’ and make sure to check the box to include diagnostic logs,” the company said on the support page. There are also instructions for those who prefer trying with command line interface, Windows backup and Time Machine backup. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/updated-google-drive-for-desktop-offers-a-recovery-tool-for-missing-files-042758933.html?src=rss

Review – Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG’s Leo Faria: “The games included in Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection are, at best, novelties, with the exception of maybe one or two titles, namely the NES original. I also feel the collection should have included more titles, such as the 3DOs Jurassic Park Interactive and the Game Gear and Master System Jurassic Park games. If the intention of this collection was to preserve the (mixed-at-best) legacy of the original Jurassic Parks tie-in releases, then I feel more worked should had been put into it. As it stands, this is not a terrible first attempt from Limited Run Games in terms of remastering and emulating games, but they do need to improve upon the amount of extras and title variety included in their compilations.”

Review – Born of Bread (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG’s Oliver Shellding: “Born of Bread is all the ingredients of Paper Mario put together in a different construct, and yet theres something there that just doesnt gel quite right. If someone had told me it was akin to Bug Fables or Costume Quest, Id feel differently and mark it higher. But the constant hammering that this is supposed to be akin to the games of the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube makes a high water mark that simply cannot be reached. Its a lovely title, of that theres no doubt, but the final product just doesnt rise to the occasion: its just a bit more than half baked.”
